It’s hard to believe the amount of stuff we have crammed into the last four days; the amount of playing we have done, the amount of laughing, the amount of beer as food. I have not heard a cross word and although nerves are beginning to fray, civility and merciless slagging will see us through. Continue reading Le Dernier Jour

Quatrième jour
Another early rise, though not so extremely early as to preclude morning ablutions. The walk to the showers is not as tense at it was a few days ago, we pass each other in tees and pants carrying a towel and there is chitchat from the cubicles, we have all become a wee bit frencher. Continue reading Typical Bank Holiday
Bagpipes and Headbangers
Saturday night saw us in the Glenleven Inn, Kilbarchan for an Albert fundraiser. Mrs Broon’s man had arranged a top Status Quo tribute band to entertain us. Ticket sales for these events are notoriously easy but there are always fears of eighty folk asking for tickets and ten turning up. Continue reading Bagpipes and Headbangers
Every Little Helps
Saturday was being pushed by the Albert Committee, a three line whip was in place, everyone going to Albert next June should be at Tesco, Linwood by 11am for a day of bag packing joy. Continue reading Every Little Helps
